Since Coyote Linux v2.10 classic QoS bandwidth management is integrated in standard distribution. Official Coyote Linux & BrazilFW distributions contain most recent classic QoS init scripts. There is new option in QoS filtering, traffic control and bandwidth management configuration that is called Layer7 QoS filtering. You can download here required packages and patches to fully support this feature on your BrazilFW and Coyote Linux floppy routers.
Layer7 filtering is more advanced QoS feature supported by Coyote Linux & BrazfilFW floppy routers. It operates on OSI model Application Layer (Layer7). You no longer need to specify port numbers, but application protocols. Layer7 filtering is supported by Coyote Linux & BrazilFW kernel, but you will have to download QoS-L7 integration package to fully support and configure Layer7 filtering.

QoS and Bandwidth Managment subsystem of Coyote Linux & BrazilFW floppy routers is based on Linux advanced routing and bandwidth management capabilities. It uses web based configuration and in the background HTB (hierarchical token bucket) and SFQ (stochastic fair queing) algorithms for it's function. QOS init scripts are based on my init scripts, so you can find a lot of information how they work on these pages. I have created QOS setup tutorial for you.
