Can Coyote Linux be used to provide QoS as a transparent bridge?

Yes it can.

Three simple steps:
1. Run bridge mode
2. Apply QOS classes + filters
3. Testing

1. Bridge Mode Settings

A. Copy/Paste the Bridge Script in WebAdmin --> 'Configuration Files' --> 'Local Commands Init Script'

B. (Optional) Copy/Paste this command IF_LOCAL='br0' in WebAdmin --> 'Configuration Files' --> 'BrazilFW Main Configuration File'. This will assign the IP address of your LAN interface to the bridge. You'll need this to access the webadmin and ssh.

## Bridge Script

ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth1 down

ifconfig eth0:1 down
ifconfig eth0:2 down
ifconfig eth0:3 down

#Run interfaces in promiscuous mode

ifconfig eth0 up
ifconfig eth1 up

#create bridge and add interfaces to it

brctl addbr br0

brctl addif br0 eth0
brctl addif br0 eth1

# reset iptables

iptables -F
iptables -t nat -F
iptables -X
iptables -t nat -X
iptables -t mangle -F
iptables -t mangle -X
ebtables -F

## deactivate STP (if this is the only bridge on the network)
brctl stp off

## set forwarding delay to zero
btctl setfd br0 0
